Associate Musical Director

Wanted: An accomplished ASSOCIATE MUSIC DIRECTOR for a leading male choir, with a view to assuming the Music Director role in due course.

The Ku-ring-gai Male Choir was established in 1946. Since then it has established a fine reputation for its high performance standards and its rich, eclectic repertoire.

The choir has around 40 members and practises on Tuesday evenings in Pymble. We perform at retirement villages and commercial venues, primarily in the northern suburbs of Sydney.

To contribute to the growth and development of the choir, we are now seeking an Associate Music Director with:
 Extensive musical knowledge and capability
 Experience in directing a choir at rehearsals and concerts
 The ability to build rapport with choir members, accompanists and audiences

The aim will be for the Associate Music Director to progress to the Music Director role in the near future.

You’ll need to have first-rate choral music performance and directing skills, but be prepared to learn more … and we will expect to learn from you.

You will also have great attitude and interpersonal skills. You’d describe yourself as outgoing, confident and energetic.

We do need to move quickly on this appointment. So if this sounds like the position for you, please email our Music Director, Dr Paul Whiting OAM at info@kuringgaimalechoir.org.au.
