My Lord, what a morning.

This is a negro spiritual.  The origins are obscure.

My Lord, what a morning;
my Lord, what a morning;
Oh, my Lord, what a morning,
when the stars begin to fall.

  1. You’ll hear the trumpet sound,
    to wake the nations underground,
    looking to my God’s right hand,
    when the stars begin to fall.
  2. You’ll hear the sinner moan . . .

Here is a performance by the Sydney Male Choir in 2017 – arranged by R Lee Gilliam.
